Congratulations to Joel Campbell who made his 100th national team appearance for Costa Rica.
On Friday 16 July against Suriname in a Gold Cup match. Joel joined the U17 national team in 2009 and in 2011 he played in the CONCACAF championship and finished as top scorer with 6 goals. On June 5, 2011 he honored his first selection with the senior team with a goal in a Gold Cup match against Cuba. He joins the circle of players who have taken part in 100 games in selections and proves once again his regularity at the highest level. He will have scored 20 goals and delivered 19 assists including 1 goal and 1 assist during the 2014 World Cup in a match against Uruguay.

Congratulations to Joel Campbell who has signed a one-year contract with the Mexican club Rayados. With experience in Costa Rican, European, and Mexican leagues, the center-forward will once again be able to show his talent. He will join the group once his participation in the Copa Oro with the Costa Rican national team is over.

Joel Campbell, Yeltsin Tejeda and Barlon Sequeira celebrated another start with the Costarician national team this weekend against Bosnia. Costa Rica and Bosnia parted ways on a 0-0 draw, despite the chances created by the Ticos. A game against Mexico is scheduled on Tuesday, a chance for Barlon to acquire more experience on the international stage after he wasn’t called up since 2019. Joel will be a step closer to the 100th cap (95), and Yeltsin is questionable because of an injury contracted against Bosnia.
Samuel Maroto makes his first Division debut
Samuel, who made his debut for Deportivo Saprissa, played half-time against Sporting.
